Hi folks. So. I've been working on the Xorg (BLFS 12.4, chapter 24) installation this weekend, and have run into an error. It might be worth noting that I'm building on LFS 13.0-rc1. I made my way to installing Mesa 25.1.8, and had an error which said that rustc could not be found. So, I went down the rabbit hole installing rust. Well, I think I have rust installed properly (I did not see any errors), and rather than installing LLVM separately, I used the shipped version (I think - see below), based on the editor's note at https://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/wiki/rust, which says that if LLVM is not separately installed, rust will install it's own version. The reason I mention this, is that I have a new error when attempting to install Mesa: Run-time dependency libclc found: NO. So, I went to install libclc, and that's when I encountered the following issue with LLVM: cmake error: could not find a package configuration file provided by LLVM with any of the following names: LLVMConfig.cmake, llvm-config.cmake. So I'm doubting now whether rust installed properly, or at least put LLVM in a findable spot when it did. Additionally, I have a run-time dependency libglvnd that is not found when installing Mesa. There is some wording about that in the book too, but it's not clear to me how I should proceed. Any ideas? *Note that some of the error messages are truncated to the relevant parts since I have to manually type the output from my VM.* -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/sympa/info/blfs-support Unsubscribe: See the above information page
