Well, Randy, Building LFS is about learning, and I enjoy doing it, so that's
the approach I took. Sounds like it doesn't agree with your opinion on how
things should be done, which is fine.

To each their own on how to use the book. I think doing my approach of typing
out the commands is fine, and certainly not 'wrong' - if your opinion is that
that's the way it should be done, that's fine as well.
