This was warned about in
https://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/23272. The one who did
the update didn't change the listed dependencies. Either way, this
has now been fixed at 045d6a9ce1d44f266e762da1ec7cb523ece78ff5.

It seems to be shorthand for markdownBook, to convert MarkDown to
HTML and other formats. Some projects have began to use it, Wayland
now being one of them. I might add it to Supplemental LFS pretty soon.
