whether to write kernel driver or kthread or anything else !!!!

Hi All,

I have to write a interrupt handler which will service the temperature
sensor TMP75 in linux.
If the temperature rises above THigh, issue a interrupt and call ISR and
log the information to /var/log/messages and shut down the board

Please suggest me whether to write kernel module or kthread to implement
above scenario
