Well, in lfs we recommend building your own kernel and slimming down
the config until you have one that works for you.  So, no.

I've no idea what the magic mouse is (my memory of apple is that
they only had one button on the mouse: that is probably before your
time - I'm talking ppc here).

But perhaps there is some command-line option to control it.  Modern
(EFI) macs are outside my experience: if you have not yet built your
own kernel then probably best to ask on a more-specific list.
Normally I would reconnend building your own kernel (and keeping the
existing kernel until the new one works acceptably), but I still
remember reports that EFI can be difficult = sonsult the LFS/BLFS
archives for the last year, e.g.
