Oh, now you hurt my feelings.  Don't say that, I won't be able to
sleep at night if you don't like me!  Can I get back in your good
books?  Can I?  Please?  What do I need to do?  I'll be good, I
promise!  In the future, you can insult me all you want, and I'll
just sit and soak it up, but please, please, don't have contempt
for me!  I couldn't live life that way!

No, actually, I figured out part of it on my own, and someone posted
quite a useful post filling in a lot of the details.  As has been
expressed three times now in clarification to the original post, the
question is what to do with those that can't be chrooted.

And the right tool would be _____?  I've gotten quite a bit of useful
information from some people, and childish name-calling from others...
