I had though someone had made a hint of this, but it doesn't seem to be
so.  I know there was a more in-depth (that is, readable/understandeable)
bash script floating around.  Not sure where it it is now, however.

This is a default feature of bash.  It *can* be disabled at compile time,
afaik.
