I know that these things generaly come down to mostly personal
preference, but I've chosen to keep mine as /var/random-seed as I don't
realy see it as configuration information so much as machine specific,
changing (variable) data.

Then again I always thought that /var/* seemed under-used so I like to
put all sorts of stuff in there that probably doesn't belong (don't ask
why)!  ;)
