Out of curiosity, are you making sure you compile it with the -static switch? Leaving that off will cause it to not work. Also, it requires the same compiler as that used to compile the kernel, I think. At least it did on my machine. 2.95.3 with vanilla 2.4.22, and the exploit worked perfectly.
