Yes, I hope so, too, because the main fear I have now is what will
happen after LFS-6 is released. Few, if any, security minded admins
would advocate using a new and relatively unknown kernel in a secure
environment. So that leaves us with either ignoring SLFS-6, or at the
least maintaining SLFS-5.x and 6.x until such time as the kernel matures
and we can confidently use it. Now I'm hoping that LFS-6 either skips
the kernel upgrade or waits until 2.6.14 or so. I doubt that either will
happen, so we will have our hands full for a while. I guess that's the
pro and con of open source's fast-paced development.

It is proper to take alarm at the first experiment on our liberties. We
hold this prudent jealousy to be the first duty of citizens and one of
the noblest characteristics of the late Revolution. The freemen of
America did not wait till usurped power had strengthened itself by
exercise and entangled the question in precedents. They saw all the
consequences in the principle, and they avoided the consequences by
denying the principle. We revere this lesson too much ... to forget it
- James Madison.
