Maybe we can pass this around a bit and see what happens. ----- Forward: Having thousands of computer system security articles available to read on the web, this book was conceived to fill the demand for a modern all in one manual. Named after and based on Linux From Scratch, HLFS is a book describing how to build a hardened source based Linux operating system from scratch. This book aims to describe various problems and solutions that concern data privacy and system integrity on the Linux platform. Audience: This book is not for everyone. It describes in detail problems with programming languages, privilege access control for software applications and users, cryptography, and what to do with this technology. The advantages to reading this book would be in having an understanding of security from the lowest level, and being able to use all that information in constructing an entire system. ----- Also I made a new propolice hint with new patches. IBM added support for Gentoo's glibc patches, so I added them back to the hint. They cause more errors, but I think its a better design, and it is optional. ftp://twocents.mooo.com/pub/propolice.txt (I sent this twice because I didn't see it come up after 25 minutes) -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-security FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
