error in chroot environment

Hi Bruce,

Once I am in the chroot environment, I get this error when trying to use
configure for the package builds:
Host system is Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS.

(lfs chroot) root:/sources/bison-3.8.2# ./configure
bash: ./configure: cannot execute: required file not found


It does not seem to be specific to the package.  I have tried in gettext and
bison.
I have  gone through the steps to see what I missed.  But so far, not seeing
it.   Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thanks for providing this project to work through.   Learning a lot.
