You wrote
 > sh -> bash`. So, bash is not present in bin/bash

So I wanted it more clear
I have no sh -> bash, only bash -> sh
Also more certainty about "bin/bash",
Is that the same as /mnt/lfs/bin/bash ?

My guess you made a mistake either in --prefix or in
$ make install without DESTDIR
I think your /bin/bash has a new date now
