Although it may not have immediate negative consequences, the failed test is an indication that you made a mistake somewhere. Perhaps when entering the chroot-environment? Or when configuring user "tester"? For the latter you could check whether the the output of grep 'tester' /etc/{passwd,group} is in line with what's in the book.
