Due to the position of the kernel, the amount of security issues in it
is always HUGE.  See all the mails in
https://lore.kernel.org/linux-cve-announce/.  I don't like something
like "hey we need to treat this CVE special because it somehow makes
into a news website."

You should ALWAYS use the latest stable or LTS kernel if you are so
careful about security, instead of only upgrading when a news comes into
the home page of your browser or something.
