Ok, downloading and installing db from the Arch source seemed to work. I had
to install several more things, that were not found, and have come to another
challenge while attempting to install apt.

"Can't locate Dpkg.pm in @INC (you may need to install the Dpkg module) (@INC
entries checked: /usr/lib/perl5/5.42/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/5.42/
vendor_perl /usr/lib/perl5/5.42/core_perl).
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted.

Clearly, I need to install the Dpkg module. When I google around for this, I
find *.deb files from debian.org, but I'm not sure how to install a .deb file
with no package manager.
