Erm… go away. CVS is perfectly well usable and doesn’t have
all those problems of git. Also it’s much easier to use, more
stable and doesn’t have the issue of easily losing data and
corrupting history when the user is unexperienced.

Besides, look at agriculture to see the downsides of monoculture.
