I have an 0483:7554 modem, (this gook means SGS Thomson: 56k Win-Modem), and it can send faxes. But it can't unless I load the actual modem onto my computer.

The Smartlink driver was suggested by your software (scanModem).

I am an ignoramus for not knowing how this poop works.
