Ashok,

Depending on which Ubuntu Version, you may search for wvdial package
in Ubuntu packages:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=3Dwvdial

And if I am not mistaken you are using Mint which is based on Ubuntu,
download the package that corresponds to the Ubuntu version.  Install
with
$ sudo dpkg wvdial*

For the
image@sys1 ~ $ lususb
command you may need
$ sudo lsusb

and it should output of usb devices.
