This isn't a problem to be solved, but I was so taken aback today after I found 3 wireless squatters using my wireless router that I had to tell somebody. I guess you guys are it. I figured since I'm in the basement of a Victorian row house in Washington, D.C., that there weren't too many other people with wireless connections in my neighborhood, but I guess my Linksys router is a lot more powerful than my old Netgear one. Those dual antennas on it must have turned it into Peterbilt semi router on a wireless highway. Those bozo(e)'s were slurping up some of my 3Mbps DSL bandwidth. At $39.95 a month it wasn't gonna happen, so I decided to MAC slap 'em by filling out my router MAC address allow list. I guess those things are in there for a reason. Anybody else had this happen to them? Maybe I should pimp out my router for use when I'm not using it. Just wrap it in Spandex and set it on a thigh high spike heel boot, get myself a red felt hat with a feather in it and go to the bad side of town. Actually, there is no bad *side* of DC, it's ugly all over. There are as many pages of escort services in the DC Yellow pages as there are pages of lawyers, not that I've called that many of them, lawyers I mean. It's called compassionate conservatism. Anybody figure out a solution to my printing question or have a Linksys WRT54G router? Filling long spans of weirdness with tidbits of boredom, PD
