John,

I have an MA111 card with pre26 driver, but I doubt there is any difference in this case.

Even when the dot11req_start parameters are ok (and your settings look ok to me), I get "resultcode=invalid_parameters" after a successful join.

To test this out, reset by doing this:

wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=disable
wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=enable

then issue the dot11req_start and you should see "resultcode=success".

I think the lnx_autojoin should go after that.

Peter

  Hello,

  I have a D-link DWL-122 wireless USB adapter with linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre25.tar.gz

  driver.
  When I run "wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_autojoin ssid=foreignwlan authtype=opensystem ",

  I get the messages:

  ssid='foreignwlan'
  authtype=opensystem
  resultcode=success

  But when I run "wlanctl-ng wlan0 dot11req_start ssid=foreignwlan bsstype=independent beaconperiod=100 dtimperiod=3 cfpollable=false cfpollreq=false cfpperiod=3 cfpmaxduration=100 probedelay=100 dschannel=6 basicrate1=2 basicrate2=4 operationalrate1=2 operationalrate2=4 operationalrate3=11" to switch the card into ad-hoc mode,

  I get the messages:
  message=dot11req_start
  ssid='foreignwlan'
  bsstype=independent
  beaconperiod=100
  dtimperiod=3
  cfpperiod=3
  cfpmaxduration=100
  fhdwelltime=no_value
  fhhopset=no_value
  fhhoppattern=no_value
  dschannel=6
  ibssatimwindow=no_value
  probedelay=100
  cfpollable=false
  cfpollreq=false
  basicrate1=2
  basicrate2=4
  basicrate3=no_value
  basicrate4=no_value
  basicrate5=no_value
  basicrate6=no_value
  basicrate7=no_value
  basicrate8=no_value
  operationalrate1=2
  operationalrate2=4
  operationalrate3=11
  operationalrate4=no_value
  operationalrate5=no_value
  operationalrate6=no_value
  operationalrate7=no_value
  operationalrate8=no_value
  resultcode=invalid_parameters

  And in the /var/log/messages shows:Jun 1 13:43:11 localhost kernel: prism2mgmt_start: Enable macport failed, result=-22.

  I have notice "resultcode=invalid_parameters", why? How to solve the problem?

  Thanks in advance for any help!

  John
