no interrupts happening on prism2_cs... no ping

Hi
I am trying to use linux-wlan-0.1.14 on my linux pda. I am using a D-Link DCF-650W wireless lan card.
I have managed to get the driver installed, it is assigned an IRQ, it is seeing my access point etc.  
When I try to ping another device on the network I get the following result
p80211knetdev_hard_start_xmit: Tx attempt prior to association, frame dropped

when I check the interrupts I see that there are no IRQs happening for the prism2_cs device.

Any help would be great, regarding this problem
