When will linux-wlan-ng driver support iwconfig command better?

Hi

    I use D-link DWL122 and linux-wlan-ng driver.But I can't use such commands as 

      "iwconfig wlan0 essid mywlan","iwconfig wlan0 mode ad-hoc",etc.

    When will linux-wlan-ng driver support iwconfig command better?
