problem about prism2dl and pda

Hi, All,
I want to use my Linksys WPC11 PCMCIA card to set an AP to serve for other 
terminals. I am studying how to set wlan-ng driver as AP mode. Now I am 
using linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1pre26 and Red Hat FC4( 2.6.11 kernel ). I have 
successfully driven the card up and made it work under Ad-Hoc mode. 
I searched online and found there are something need to notice if I want to 
set AP mode. One is prism2dl. I really want to make clear if "prism2dl" is 
just only a command? or an tool can be wrapped? Now the problem is: when I 
insert the card, the messages in /var/log will be:

I do not know the exact means of this message. Does it have any relationship 
with Ad-Hoc mode now?

Can anybody tell me what is the PDA at all? and how I can make prism2dl work 
up? 
I am really wondering if my way is correct to set an AP.
