information event or receive event for management frame

Hello,warm-hearted people:
 when a authentication request or association request frame arrived at the
card, what event signaled to indicate the frame's arrival? Information event
or receive event?
 I noticed two lines:
 one is
hfa384x_int_rx()->prism2sta_ev_rx()->p80211netdev_rx()->p80211netdev_rx_bh()->
p80211_rx_typedrop() -> management frame dropped here
 ( when set the cnfHostAuthentication mib, it seems below line:)
another is
hfa384x_int_info()->prism2sta_ev_info()->prism2sta_inf_authreq()->prism2sta_inf_authreq_defer()->hfa384x_drvr_setconfig()->set
the authentciation list here
  help me please !!!
 BTW: Is there a architechture diagram or reader guide of linux-wlan-ng to
make reader less pain?
