DWL-650 card insert leads to 99% cpu usage

Hi

I've given up on the debian packages and tried building from latest
(0.2.2) source, to take advantage of the ram downloading of the
firmware as described in the faq.

I have built the source, edited pcmcia/network.opts, restarted pcmcia
as described in the README. When I insert the card, the cpu jumps to
99% usage, and various wlan.agent processes immediately consume
roughly half available memory. To get a usable system again I have to
pop out the card and then play whack-a-mole with multiple wlan.agent
processes.

Here's the output of 'pgrep -fl wlan' with the card inserted:

With the debian package I could even get to the point of seeing
'linkstatus=CONNECTED' msgs in syslog, and the IP address listed in
the AP's station list (using ap-config from another PC) but with no
network connectivity.

Any ideas?
