Hi All I am currently trying to set up linux-wlan-ng on my machine. I am using a D-Link DCF-650W wireless card. On examining the output of a ping I get Tx attempt prior to association. The process of setting up the interface and the autojoin happens but the linkstatus does not get reported. Also the macmode for the card does not get set. I have forced the macmode to be set to the ESS_STA since I want to configure the device in infrastructure more, I have used etherreal to see if anything is happening on the network and I see that the device is sending out a broadcast using the ARP protocol but when the device responds with it's mac address the card seems to ignore it and continue to send out a broadcast for an address using the ARP protocol. Is there an alternative way to configure the infrastructure mode or is there something that I am not doing right that causes the macmode not to be set? I was just wondering has anyone experienced this problem and if so can you give me some advice as to how to solve the problem. Thanks in advance for your help aine ----------------------------------------------------------------- Find the home of your dreams with eircom net property Sign up for email alerts now http://www.eircom.net/propertyalerts
