(Sorry if this duplicates - soemthign went awry with my list subscription). I'm trying to use an AdTec Adlink 345CF Wireless Card with a PCMCIA adapter in a small laptop running Ultima Linux (Slackware 10.2 based, kernel 2.4.32). The Adlink card is shown in the database as supported. When I insert the PCMCIA adapter with the CF card in place, the following appears in dmesg: prism2cs_init: prism2_cs.o: 0.2.1-pre25 Loaded prism2cs_init: dev_info is: prism2_cs prism2_cs: GetNextTuple: No more items prism2sta_config: NextTuple failure? It's probably a Vcc mismatch. prism2sta_event: prism2_cs: Initialization failed! prism2_cs.o: 0.2.1-pre25 Unloaded p80211.o: 0.2.1-pre25 Unloaded Following this, there is (unsurprisingly!) no wireless interface listed in iwconfig. I don't know if it helps, but the same CF card works happily in a Sharp Zaurus - linux-based PDA. uname -a on the Zaurus indicates kernel 2.4.18, and added to dmesg on insertion of the card is: init_module: prism2_cs.o: 0.1.12-shp Loaded init_module: dev_info is: prism2_cs prism2_cs: index 0x01: Vcc 3.3, irq 35, io 0xc5670000-0xc567003f hfa384x_corereset: hfa384x_corereset not supported on pcmcia.
