hello,everyone!
I have some questions about the handling of the management frames in
the wireless network.
The kernel version I use is 2.4.22 ,because it must match the
mipl1.0(mobile IPv6 in Linux) ,and the wireless network card I use is
D-Link
DWL-122. I install the linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre25.tar.gz,and find it can't
automaticlly handover from one AP to another, and have to manually change the
SSID ,is it have something to do with the driver?
I want to know how does the network card deal with the management
frames? Is the netdevice driver do this work? I look through the source code
of the linux-wlan-ng-0.2.2.tar ,find in the prism2mgmt.c some process in the
wireless network card finding the network ,such as reassociation
\authentication currently not supported, then what will it do when it have a
handover?could you tell me the exact position when it finish the handover in
the link layer?
thank you very much for help! :)
