How to connect now that it's installed?

Hello all,

I have installed linux-wlan-ng on my computer, and after having tried to
configure my network with iwconfig a lot of time, I looked at the README
file, and I saw that I was trying in vain because it was impossible to
configure the network directly with the wireless tools, so I followed the
instructions in the README (for usb users as I have a dlink DWL-122) but I
don't understand the F) instruction:

> F) Run 'ifconfig wlan0 <your IP address>'

What is "<your IP address>", is it my router's IP adress? the IP I want to
have in my network? probably, but my network is configured by DHCP, so this
is the DHCP server which will decide of my IP.
And by the way, how can I use a DHCP client to connect to my router?

Please answer, this is very problematic for me.
