I just use iwconfig. # iwconfig [iface] essid [ap_you're_associating_to] or # iwconfig [iface] essid [ap] key [index#] [encription_key] If you have multiple AP's with the same essid, you can add the "bssid" option with the mac of the AP you're trying to connect to.
