Re: struggling with wireless setup

Thank you for your help! In fact I think I am too stupid to fight the
authentication stuff so I take it to the home wireless network, SSID is
"netgear" and is completely not encrypted. I can directly connect to
this network without a password by using both SuSE Linux and Windows (on
a notebook with built-in wireless support) through a graphical user
interface. The signal quality is good because I am sitting only 5 meters
away from the AP.

Now back to test the USB wireless adapter. I tried to use the simplest
configuration, that is, only change on line in wlan.conf (a.k.a. make
SSID_wlan0="HBF"), and copy wlancfg-DEFAULT directly to wlancfg-netgear.
I also made sure the device is properly detected:

This is not what should happen. I should get 10.0.0.6 as IP address. I
don't understand the error messages, can someone point out what has been
wrong?
