Hi Andrew,

SLES 9, has got lkcdutils package which has dwarf-2 support for IA64 as
well. That works well with 2.6 kernels.

In principle, it should work with 2.4.21 as well but i am not sure how
close theory and practice come?

You might want to give it a try.
