RE: Applying LKCD to RedHat Linux 9

I had a similar problem. I wanted to apply an LKCD patch to a 2.4.19
kernel, but no patch was available for that kernel version. There was a
patch available for 2.4.18. So I downloaded a vanilla 2.4.18 kernel,
applied the 2.4.18 patch to that 2.4.18 kernel and manually inspected
the code to see what changed. Using the -b option in patch is useful in
this regard, since that way you get a before and after version of each
file that is changed. I then manually editted the changed files in our
2.4.19 kernel to provide the equivalent of the patch. It seems to have
worked. The changes to the kernel proper are not really that extensive.
Most of the code in the patch is new code that implements the LKCD dump
driver (all the stuff under linux/driver/dump).

We at TCS Stoarge and Linux internals group are working in core Linux
Internals. Hitherto wwe used other available techniques for debugging.
But one of us discovered LKCD at internet. We have spent considerable
effort in applying LKCD to our running Red Har 9 kernel but of no avail.
Most of the hunks fail when the patch available at sourceforge,net is
applied. The kernel we are using is 2.4.20.8. Can you kindly suggest
some reliable source where i can get a 2.4 kernel with LKCD facility?
