Greetings! I am working with a client in Silicon Valley. Founded in 1998, this top tiered VC funded networking company, is in the leadership role in the emerging market for application delivery systems - networking devices that both optimize application performance and improve security. The founders have a very successful track record of success in the valley and are highly highly technical. Suffice it to say at this point that I was quite impressed with the team, vision, and opportunity. To the extent that we are taking half of our own fees in equity! The client is looking to expand their technical team and your background + experience ought to be quite applicable. I have included a copy of the formal spec for two newly created positions. Here's brief description of their needs: Principal and Senior Networking Software Engineer --------------------------------------------------- Must have * Expertise in optimization and algorithms for compression (gzip and or lz77), delta and pattern matching. * Experience with advanced forms of compression such as application intelligent compression for wide area networks, differential (delta) compression etc is a big plus * Outstanding C programming skills * Application layer proxying is a big plus * Strong knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP Desirable: * Experience with HTTP proxy development * Experience developing networking products ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------ We should definitely talk, so I can provide you with additional information on the company if this is indeed of interest. If not, and if this posting describes someone that you know, by all means, TELL A FRIEND!
