I'm in the process of changing to 4.1 now.
I was trying to build it without having
rpm generate its own shared libraries,
but that seems to be broken (it doesn't
end up linking in the beecrypt library
if you configure that way, and then all
the links fail).

It's purely historical (for grins, one
reason for leaving that way for lsb 1.3
was that SUSE was still using a 3.x
version of rpm in those days).
