I've kind of avoided it because the build has changed, it used to be possible with 4.2 to download and build just the first XFRee86 tarball, and I was able to find the patch for ia64 (which had the same problem you're seeing). With 4.3 it was unclear how much was needed as the builds reach into many other places, and according to Stuart, the libraries didn't change. Processor support did, however. And by our own model we need to stay a little more current with upstream source. We'll talk about this in the call today (in a few hours). Mats
