[Bug 772] New: dladdr() behavior is ambiguous

We are seeing two different behaviors of dladdr() in the field on ia64. On one 
implementation, dli_saddr is pointing to the fptr struct which contains the 
address of the function, and the gpoffset. On the other implementation, 
dli_saddr point to the entry point for the function. 
 
Which behavior is correct? 
 
The two distros involved are Debian Sarge, and RHEL4.  
 
a small program to illustrate the differences will be attached.
