There are multiple problems and inconsistencies throughout this chapter, and it
needs an overhaul. Too many problems to list individually. I'm going to submit
a patch if we can get closure on these questions (possibly more to come):
1. can a crontab entry installed by a package be in a script language not
defined by LSB? (there's a reference suggesting a perl script would be okay)
2. when describing commands given to init scripts ("stop", "start", etc.) what
should be the docbook markup used? currently some are unmarked and some are
represented as here with ascii quotes; none have sgml markup. Should they?
3. need a consistent names for init scripts. currently at least the following
are used: "init script", "init-script", "init file", "init.d file", "/etc/init.d
file" (and script), "boot script", boot-script". Are the latter actually
distinct from init scripts? Okay to use the term "init script" throughout?
4. still inconsistent about whether the package installation puts the init
script in /etc/init.d, or whether it's copied there by install_initd. I *think*
we decided on the former, but there's still one section which says the latter.
Which is it?
