The LSB-arch documents for ppc32 and ppc64 don't describe what is the minimum 
chip that is supported for LSB purposes. I have received feedback from the 
Linux on Power maintainer giving the details needed.

For ppc64 the minimum chip supported is the Power3 chip.

For ppc32 the minimum chip supported is the PowerPC 603. Here's some more 
detailed comments about the ppc32:

"The PowerPC 603 implies floating-point, but a floating-point unit is 
optional. (Non-FP versions are actually fairly popular in the embedded space.) 
It could be stated that ppc32 for LSB requires PowerPC 603 or later, with or 
without floating point."
