Well, I really prefer package-manager installs, but if a manual copying 
is needed, I still think it should be copied directly to the final 
destination (/etc/{init.d,profile.d}) since I see no advantage in using 
lsbinstall.

I'm actually not sure what Thorsten dislikes - non-package-manager 
installation or the direct copying when doing non-package-manager 
installations. I think it is the former, but I'm not sure.
