I am leaning towards #2. My reasons are as follows:

1. IMHO, Test Case should not be testing functionalities that is not
included in latest upstream stable release.

2. In https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2966, it was
mentioned that the patch for backing store has been committed. However,
that was in April 2005. The stable release was created in Feb 2005. 

Hence, I would like to suggest a TSD waiver in this round of testing and
reimpose the Test Cases after the official release of X with the patch
included is released.


Please reconsider.
