It should use bdf2pcf provided by xorg package to build the fonts while
building the cases. I'm not sure about this problem and current status.
According to Peng, the fonts can be successfully built on SLES8, the
version
of xorg on which may be XFree86 4.2.

I checked out the latest source code of Xorg, and tried this binary.
It seems that there are still many test cases of Xproto reporting
UNRESOLVED. But there are 120 cases reporting UNTESTED in your results.
Can you describe how you building and running xts5 and xorg more detail?
