I have questions about LSB1.3
Q1) I got different results with the same test set. For example:
I executed "run_tests" twice on our IPF machine with the user vsx0.
I got different results.
The first result is :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total tests: 8693 PASS = 8670 FAIL = 23
Pass Breakdown:
Number of successes: 4556 Number of warnings: 23
Number unsupported: 114 Number not in use: 3923
Number of untested: 40 Number of FIP: 14
Unapproved assertions: 0 Number not implemented: 0
Failure Breakdown:
Number of failures: 9 Number unresolved: 14
Number uninitiated: 0 Number unreported: 0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and the second result is :
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total tests: 8657 PASS = 8634 FAIL = 23
Pass Breakdown:
Number of successes: 4520 Number of warnings: 23
Number unsupported: 114 Number not in use: 3923
Number of untested: 40 Number of FIP: 14
Unapproved assertions: 0 Number not implemented: 0
Failure Breakdown:
Number of failures: 9 Number unresolved: 14
Number uninitiated: 0 Number unreported: 0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The users, machine, enviroment are all the same, I can not figure out
the cause of the differences.
And another important question: did you get the same result of 2 tests?
If you tested just once, can you test it again and compare the results?
