rc1 dvd install fail

i am using lsi megaraid ultra 320-2 raid controller.

when i attempt to install i am getting errors with every
package that installs.

the install goes fine till it starts to install packages then
errors out on everything.

i have tried using different hd file systems and none of them
work.

when i let the computer pick the filesystem i am getting
/ as ext 3 and usr as ext 2.

the cd installs fine.

i am re torrenting to reburn a dvd to see if that is the problem.

the cd version works fine.

i am using 3 fujitsu ultra 320 scsi mas drives as a raid 0.
