I have a eepro100 card which is becoming problematic with the NetGEAR switch FS608v2. ifplugd fails to detect the link beat (always on in the switch) and it then tries to shutdown my card, wrongfully. How do I disable/ configure ifplugd so that I make it ignore the supposed failure? I could of course modify /etc/rc.d/init.d/network where it is called but I am not sure it is a clean way to do. In another hand, urpme ifplugd does not work without removing basesystem and urpme refuses to go further.... What is the best way to handle this? Thanks
