Just wanted to post on a frequent install problem I am having with LE 2005.
I've had this problem on both the 64 and 32bit installations but I
figure it is related to the 64bit AMD processor (I noticed some others
have posted about this problem on MandrivaForums under "Machine Check
Exception" header).

Anyway, I receive a kernel panic (usually on second boot after install).
The kernel panic and machine check exception (which sites the CPU and
memory banks) pops up after activitating the swap partition.

I used rescue-mode (which I had much difficulty with as the stock rescue
isos don't seem to work well with the 64bit installs or LE2005?) and
installed 2.6.11.10 but could not bypass the problem.

Disabling on-board audio in the BIOS has allowed boot and I have heard
that installing the MM kernel is a fix, but I'm wondering if there is
further resolution of this issue in a devel kernel?

MSI K8N Neo (onboard audio, gigalan, ieee)
