Hi, There are several reports in this list about the Xvnc program, crashing with a segmentation fault on Mandriva 2006.0, and there are even more around the net with the same issue for other distros. I can confirm it, using the package tightvnc-server-1.2.9-6mdk.x86_64.rpm as found in 2006.0 media repositories and Cooker. I've opened a bug report, which you can find here: http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=21803 This is a serious bug, and prevents this functionality from being used in this architecture. Even worse if you think that amd64 is a really nice server platform, and VNC is a common way to access and manage those machines. I've done some research, and have this program working in my test machine. You can find more details at the bug report, and fixed RPMs here: http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web/plcl/mandriva/tightvnc-server.html Please help if you are interested, testing the packages and voting the bug. Thanks. Regards, Pedro
