i would download and burn the 64 bit cd's of 2006.

the 32 bit version is not compatible with the 64 bit version.

then i would stay away from cooker and do easy urpmi sources
and then your computer update itself .

works for me

and also i want to mention that the new nvida 8756 driver does not work
for me. i am getting a no modes found error.

the 8178 worked great.
