I have installed the new drakxtools packages and reconfigured my FX5200 card using XFdrake. This generates an xorg.conf file using the Virtual syntax. So I changed all the Virtuals to Mode manually and reran XFdrake. Now my card is recognised as a frame-grabber and when I change the configuration to nvidia, the virtual statements return. Just for fun I installed the packages on the updatecd.idx list , which I got off the mirrors. Odd things happen. The ghostscript-common package conflicted with previous installations and the ghostript packages could only be installed with the -U option. In addition I had to install a number of packages from cooker to be able to refresh the gutenberg and foomatic updates. Also, the update cd contains the 4.0.1-5mdk gcc packages, but the 2.6.12-19mdk kernel was compiled with the 4.0.3 version. Should the latter packages be included instead?
